i live in Casper and a couple days ago, it snowed like 19" on the mountain.
Skied there on January 23rd, still not fully open but there was plenty to do. Took my young son and though he ha struggled before every thing finally clicked with him and he was going all over the place. I was proud of him. This is not the fanciest place in Wyoming but it is still skiing and if you are in Casper stop and make some tracks. Hogadon in unique because you drive to the top of the mountain and then ski down from there.
the ski tickets are WAY to pricey even though everything isn't open.
Had a stellar day. Some major runs weren't open, but the fresh powder made it all worth while! Lift tickets are a little steep ESP. When the whole mountain is not open.
When up today the best powder that i have ever seen a Hogadon but the bad part of the day the temp stayed about 0 all day
Hogadon is pretty small but also a fun place to get away and have fun with friends/family,some times its challenging, the only down fall of Hogadon is they almost never open on there opening date!! i cant wait to hit up the slopes. loren fender
Well, when you live in Casper, Wyoming, you ski what you have.......until it's time to go to Colorado.
Hogadon is twice as good as vail!
