I was there 7,8,9. mornings were awesome, by noon started to have mashed potatos, by 3 it was pretty bad with some nasty push piles, but hey everything is still open and its March with 55deg weather. go have fun. I saw chicks in bikinis and a dude in a kilt. Gotta love spring!

Great conditions on Saturday. Packed powder and even some loose powder on the blacks at Silver Creek. Western Territory was great on and Shay's wasn't icy. They apparently are trying to cut down on out of bounds skiing which is pretty lame. I went in the woods at the bottom of the two blacks and it was actually a lot of fun. I was surprised at the fact that it seemed like I was way in the woods even though it was only about 50 yards wide.
Beautiful weather outside today... unfortunately the surface is getting pretty soft. Lots of 'mashed potatoes' out there right now.

Yeah you are right, snowshoe is full of hillbilly's and hicks, but what do you expect, it is in West Virginia, just like Mont Tremblant in Quebec Canada is full of annoying french people, if you want to avoid hillbilly's and rednecks than go ski up north in vermont or maine, or go out west to Utah so you can be surrounded by mormans. I personally don't care how the people are at the hill, I just care if the mountain is good or not.
I worked for Snowshoe for 2 months and have never worked or been to such a backwards place in my whole life. I've traveled to dozens of countries and have met great people in every place. This place is full of hipocracy and hillbilly's. Spend a few extra bucks and go out west. I have spent the past month documenting some of these folks. Be on the lookout for youtube videos of drunkin pictures of management and the trash they hire. Just type in snowshoe trash starting in April!!!!

Spent last weekend there and the conditions were better than i have ever seen on the east coast!

Take off work, cut school, do whatever you must to experience this snow. Best in years!!!
just spent sunday night and monday skiing at snowshoe. great conditions and no lift lines. best resort in this part of the US.

I spent 5 hrs in the trees in waist high powder today. Conditions are incredible!
driving back from snowshoe. crowds were bad on saturday but sunday was great. great conditions. worth the trip.
went to snowshoe this past weekend for the first time, best conditions I have seen in a decade, this includes hills out west and up north, 2 feet of fresh pow at least, roads were horrible though, worth the drive, don't listen to the comments about the staff, yes it is expensive but the workers are not rude like people say they are.
