Today 03-17 the backcountry was awesome
Morning was great- Nash opening a tad narly. The fan was hard packed by 1pm. lower nash became sticky. Tried to post on mtn but no AT&T service.
great day today. and still snowing.
Alpental top was better than expected. As you went down conditions got worse, but finding fresh patches of powder was not difficult. Snow was heavy. Back country snow was also ok at top, but got very bad closer to the bottom. In the afternoon, the sun came out. Overall pretty good.
Still gooey, but plenty of untracked in stashes. Sun is peeking in and out. Lights are on down below because of flat light.
kinda gooey. but soft and pushable. wait for chair 2 is 20 minutes right now.
Was up Thursday afternoon up top and it was great! Powder run after powder run. After they closed Edelweiss for the day (the average 3:30pm closure) even the lower part of the mountain was awesome. Powder was a little heavy downlow but still deep enough to whitewash myself.

Great night of skiing on Wednesday. About 2" of fresh, actually, and the mountain was empty.
1" on top ice. even blue ice in the cat track. dont fall!!!
was gorgeous sunday. soft spring snow. occassional ice on tracks.
powder is definitely gone... best to wait a few hours for things to soften up a bit, otherwise can be pretty icy.
stay home, the 3" of new snow is down the drain, raining as of 7:30pm!
