Had a great day at Ascutney on Marth 22. Conditions were excellent machine groomed conditions. One of the best days on the slopes for the year.

Love this hill, no lift lines to speak of, good conditions after natural snowfalls, and challenging. Been a good season so far with natural snows. Personally would like more grooming, but that's because I'm getting too old to push it around.

For the past 18 years - I love Ascutney and I hate Ascutney. One day you will be alone in the beauty of it all in all natural snow skiing - the best skiing in the east. But you best be an expert . The next day after a rain, or warm up, it will all be lost, and you the expert, will be at the only open point - the mid station and be scared to ski down on the awful ice. Beginners - do not come here.

Nice mountain with a classic feel to it. The triple chair is a bit slow but it does the job. Some challenging terrain up top but I was expecting a little more from a 'double black diamond'. Don't get me wrong, they're legit but the hype didn't produce like I thought it would. Good mountain but it needs a lot of natural snow cover to really make it worth the ticket price.

I skiied at Ascutney today. The crowd was non-existent. If you wanted ride up with somebody you had to stand around and wait at the base of the chair lifts. Snowdance chair was running, but the sign recommended that only advance skiiers go to the top. The cloudspin trail was not groomed and had heavy powder on it.
