What does the wild varying reports here tell you? The Canyons is a mixed bag. It's a work in progress for sure. In some areas, it will never get better. You can't fix bad lift layouts. You can't fix bad exposure. The Canyons does have good terrain. The Canyons does have have a fantastic ridge line with great BC access. What a strange place with such huge contrasts.

The canyons is not a place for newbies. Bottom line is that all these people complaining dont know how to push themselves into hitting the harder runs. The canyons is full of GREAT runs that are all for not expert but advanced riders/skiers. Not for beginners. If you people have any balls hit up a tree run or drop in 9990 then tell me its not a great resort.

As a local, I can categorically say that the Canyons is the worst resort of all three in PC. Horrible lift layout, horrible sun exposure (the place is a mud pit in the spring), horrible timeshare hucksters and horrible ski lines (funky falllines into bad drainages). I am NOT from NY or CA.

Don't know what these people are complaining about. Just had 2 great days of riding at canyons. Lines were only even moderately long at a couple beginners runs. No real lines elsewhere on the mt.
