i have made my first and last post om this site... look @the last comment. i thought this was a serious app for snow conditions... no filtering... i will look for another app-i would not be surprised if yoy even posted this message!
skied there on Saturday. It's getting rough out there. With the rain today i think its over foe this year.
I think it's funny when people say "powdery". It's called corn snow and there's nothing powdery about it! Regardless, still my SECOND favorite type of snow condition. Oh by the way, the park is sick here, line-ups are short, and they have the ONLY high-speed quad in the area. I had someone try and tell me this weekend that Fortune was better. I laughed in her face. Actually, now that I think about it, STAY AWAY FROM EDELWEISS, it blows!
surprisingly good conditions. powdery on firm base in the morning. spring conditions in the afternoon. nice BBQ!
thursday, february 18: high speed broken, only normal quad and magic carpet open, and only green runs unless you hiked up the hill. 3rd week in a row this has happened. not much of a base on most of the runs
Spent wed. & thurs. afternoons zooming all over Edelweiss. No shortage of packed powder with very few ice spots. great over night grooming. Steif and Bowl runs in good shape. Stief had gates set up for a few racers today.
Sunday evening; not busy but fairly icy, especially on the diamonds.
Which snow making machines are not operating? I'm there 3-5 nights a week, every machine is kicking out snow. Am i missing something? i wish they would open the runs on the left at night though.

2 for 1 lift ticket special! Visit their website! AWESOME DEAL! Skied on a Sunday. Wasn't busy at all. Base was hard ice, but most areas were covered by groomed powder; ice areas were indicated with brackets, so no surprises. No lines.
thats cuz there well ran dry and have no more water to make the snow
they bought snow makibg machines for $800000 a piece, but never use them
Obviously the park isn't fully setup yet. They're getting there though. As of Saturday there was 3 jumps, and 13 jibs. Cascades has a good park, but their lifts are mad slow, and it's full of kids.
come to cascades! better atmosphere and they got better jibs! its where its at!
the park sucks! unless they make it better i just lost 250$ !
