Skied 2/16/08. All trails open except 1-2 (Fanciful and possibly one other). Seems to have longer trails than Roundtop. Warm during the day.

I skied WT twice this week 22 & 24, had great conditions, talked to some of the snow maker folks and they have been working hard lately to whip it into shape. Only two runs w/o snow today and the farside should be done by the weekend. Inspite of a bad start and less than cooperative weather they are hitting their stride. Time to slide.

I enjoy WhiteTail. It is so funny how people around here want west coast slopes in the DC area. That is laughable. The only downfall I believe is that early season slopes are all beginner. If you purchase a season pass with SnowTime Inc. 3/4 of your season will be spent skiing beginner and intermediate areas. Visit when it snows. Conditions get awesome.
January 9th - DotCom
Went riding on the 9th. All the slopes had grassy patches and some of the runs had to be marked to show the only path downhill. It's gonna take a lot more snow fall to get that place where it needs to be. Despite the bad conditions the lift operators still hassled me for not having my lift ticket zipped tied to my person. They are lucky to have anyone paying to ride that day.
