I heard that although the slopes are steep the conditions here suck...is this true? And how are the rooms/condos?

It's a great escape from whitetail/liberty, haven't been to elk or sno so I can't compare sorry. Blue knob is PA's highest skiiable mountain, over 1000 vertical ft, diverse terrain keeps things challenging. I've skiied north and south America, blue knob keeps me sharp. Well worth the extra hour past whitetail/liberty from dc. If it's snowing there, chances are that it's snowing harder at BK. North facing mountain so that it holds it's snow better. BK is a bit rough around the edges but I go there to ski, not sit in the lodge. Variable ice just like anywhere else in the area. BK is one of Pa's best kept secrets give it a shot
