March 14th - COSpring skier
skiied here yesterday, considering the rain last week, it was really good. The mountain maintenance is sooo much better then Plattekill, it makes this place seem like Vail. It snowed lightly all day, got about an inch or so which made the top surface nice and soft. Downside- the Chieftan Quad was down all day so there was a lot traversing and hiking to get to some of the trails

Went today. There wasn't too many people there, so the lift lines were really short it was icy in some parts but with all the rain on saturday, it was a lot better than i thought. They did a good job covering up the ice and we had a good time.

Went snowboarding last weekend, March 2nd, the mountain was in the best shape it has ever been. 2 feet of powder in the tree areas, plus on the sides of the trails, and barely any ice, maybe 1% over the whole mountain. Towards the end of the day, maybe 5%. Good for older snowboarders, cause trails are not as lengthy, and show some high degree of difficulties, might be rainy this week though.

Belleayre is a great mountain... but it depends how much you pay for it. They have frequent skiers cards that save $15 off lift ticket, besides with a college ID you get the Junior rate.
We have been going there pretty much every weekend this year. This was the first time when the black diamonds were ungroomed. Usually it is not the case. We had a blast though (and our mogul skiing has improved)
