HIDDEN VALLEY, NJ

Hidden Valley Club First Hand Ski Reports

horrible terrain parks stink and there was only one lift open...
Pretty decent mountain. Nice for families but my kids has an awful snowboard lesson. Young bored, inarticulate teacher. Conditions were great though.
worst mountain i have ever been to. It was colder in the lodge then it was outside. I would never pay to ski here.
Went this weekend really not crowed at all, good trails for beginners, needs more parking though.
Went up to check out the dump. Recent snows have covered up the trash pretty well. Encountered a raccoon dragging an old thanksgiving turkey carcass across the terrain park, he looked pretty rabid to me. Also, this is not a place to drop off unwanted cats, the feral population is taking over and they have clawed their way into the lodge's crawlspaces.
better than last year
Skied here yesterday with kids. Its a great friendly place. Small but a good number of black trails and not at all crowded. Had a lovely time there!
not a big place but nicer than mt creek. plus the high school racing is there and doing a better job than creek ever did
Wow, I can't believe how much trash is on top already! Mountain creek looks so tiny from the top now. Kind of smelly though, and there appears to be some fluids draining down under the chair. Skiing is good off of the medical waste side, not so good on the household waste side. The superpipe has a couple tires sticking out still, but the jumps are good if u don't mind brown snow.
very icey, needs some snow
January 31st they are having the 1st annual DemoDerby on snow. They are also going to have a chinese downhill with schoolbuses. Should be the raddest thing to ever hit nj!
Yes, on their website it says you get 1/2 price tickets if you bring at least 2 full garbage bags to put on the top.
Are they really doing that? Forget recycling in that case!
Yah dude, like imagine if all of jersey's garbage got stacked on top, we'd have the largest vert in America! It could be the only Hidden Valley visible from outer space...
instead of turning this place into " townhomes or a mall" they should just combined the two mtn's. connect them both with either a gondola or a even more realistic thought, CHAIRLIFT. this would probably be great for them because it would not only seperate beginner skier on hidden valley peak from the more advanced over at creek but bring in more money. probably attracting people from all over to come check out the new mtn. creek with its 70 trails. they could even call it a world class resort.
Cant wait until they pave this dump and turn it into townhomes. I'd rather see it become a mall though, some specialty stores would be nice. There aren't any Nordstrom's for like, 15 miles.
We go every year cuz my grandpa lives so close to it..It's always a good place to go like on the 7th of Januray
Is it worth driving up on Monday Dec 28 for a first time ski lesson?
They are open to the top. They are open to the public all season. Great family mountain.
No, they ARE open. I was there yesterday.
