great day today! Pretty much all terrain open. Glades are getting thin, but skied well today with the soft spring conditions. Snowmaking trails have solid coverage. Worth a trip if it stays warm. Will need more snow to return to mid winter conditions, especially the natural terrain.
Best day of the year today. Glades were all open and good soft coverage and the bumps on birches were nice and soft. Not to mention there was only about thirty people there.
was there on saterday mad powder. This is a sick mountain with awsome glades.go here
diffrent skiing got really tired when it wasnt groomed we were skiing threw 1 food of snow
I've been on this mountain a bunch this year. Great mountain!
Great day skiing with the kids.
Ragged is great for the local skier, looking for something close by to get out and make some turns. Years that they get lots of snow, the skiing is great. Otherwise the problem with the snow making is that they have a very limited water supply. Sunapee gets thiers from Lake Sunapee, Loon gets theirs from the river. and Cannon has Echo lake. Ragged is primarily from wells, they can only pump so much.
well if you are learning to ski it's good cause it is a BAD mountain so try Cannon( thats a good mountain)
2 blacks are open. The others are all trails the are left natural/ ungroomed and since there hasn't been any snow in a month, these trails are not skiable.
Better grooming than Loon which I skiied yesterday.
good job with what they have snow wise, but disappointing that all of the glades are closed. I was really looking foreward to what I think of being the best glades in the area with the best glade trail in the area.
heading over on Sunday... anyone been recently. How come no Blacks open?
this is a good place to go to to learn how to ski and thats about it. you can get so much more bang for your buck in the same area
no it's not if you want to ski on a mountain try cannon
great packed Powder conditions on the trails that are open. Friendly staff, fast 6 person chair, good cafe and nice pub.
Sunday 1/31/10 -- all but 1 black diamond closed due to rain about a week ago demolishing most of the base. Only a few inches of base at the bottom (24"-40"!? no way...) of the mtn and some scattered brown patches but they don't take away from the experience. Where snowmaking was available, trails were in great shape. Larger side of the mtn got skied down to ice by midday, while the smaller side with the slow lift was great almost all day long. Overall in good shape if you're ok with no glades open and only 1 black.
awesome beginner park first rail there
great staff, beginner, expert, glades, terrain, what more can i say?
My school goes here every friday. Best mountain in NH.
