March 8th - Survivor Man
Last Sunday Cannon was absolutely fantastic.Soft everywhere and very little ice to be found.Windy in the morning but it died down in the afternoon for great skiing. Having been at Powder Mountain most of the week before I had no expectations of being psyched about Cannon. Certainly was a nice surprise. Now as I sit and look at the rain forecasted I am trying to Go West again soon.

was there on 3/1/08, and it was snowing like a sob. We hiked up Middesil, and skied down in 2-3 feet on untouched pow. The regular trails were so soft, with tons of powder. Im sure there is ice underneath but for the time being it was the best possible conditions u could ask for in the notch, warm and a whiteout. SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The most HORRIBLE AWFUL conditions I have ever seen! There was no snow on the trails (ALL ICE) and people were all falling and you couldn't even ski. Wow cannon

Sunday Feb 3rd there was no packed powder to be seen on the mountain, so their snow report is a fairy tale. This mountain has great terrain, but wait to visit until after the next big dump unless you like ice.

Even 2 for 1 tickets on Stupidbowl Sunday couldn't save this day. Cannon's snow report this morning didn't actually devulge the snow conditions and now we know why... This past weeks rain and ice leaves behind a rock hard ice base embleshished with groomer tracks, with a thin cover of ground up granular which was 75% pushed to the edges by 11AM. Wait for the next big dump before going :(
