Hard working staff, friendly and professional. Good experience at Red Lodge. I was just bummed that I forgot my cash to buy a brew at mid-slope.

While I agree with the March 5th posting that the idea that all 71 runs are open is a ludicrous and inaccurate evaluation, I had a totally different experience for the snow. Friday the 14th was a beautiful day of fresh powder, or as another local put it, "dust on the crust". It was wonderful. If you stayed to the very edges you had even better powder. Not a bad day at Red Lodge

70 runs open, ha. half the runs are fenced off due to trees and rocks that aren't covered. the rest is hard packed snow and ice.

for the last post: as a long time skier at Red Lodge and well experienced in the Rockies....well if you were one you'd know that 30" of fresh may not contribute much to the overall base depth. Redlodge measures snowpack (or so I assume) as the amount of packed snow actually on the runs and not the more traditional way.
