Sundown gets icy fast if there isn't current snow. Not the best place to learn to ski or board, but fir the rest if us it can be fun if there's nice powder. :)

sundown=chestnut and chestnut=sundown in every way except one has a hotel and the other does not. seriously, this debate is too stupid to continue. both suck compared to breck, vail, or any other place that has real mountains, but being in the midwest they are all we have.
if you've never been outside of iowa, this is the best place ever. for us that like long runs, back country and powder, eff iowa, get out to tahoe!!!

ya mommy doesn't want to take me anywhere else because there is no reason to waste your money ice skating at sundown when you could actually ride across the river at chestnut.

went there today confirmed best resort in the midwest who would want to drive over the river to boring old chestnut
wheres all that ice i went out today like normal there is fresh powder and great parks.

Went there today and confirmed that this is definitely the worst resort in the Midwest. If you just drive across the river you can go to Chestnut where the whole place isn't covered in ice.
went there on 2-13-10 great parks, ok runs with lots of icy spots all over the hill and in a real need of some huge upgrades
