Outrageously priced lift tickets... thirty dollars. Feet dragging lifts, seriously... dig em out or get them off the ground a little. No strategics at all to the rail yard, which is on flat ground. Main surface is usually ice. One big ice jump. Dont waste your time, I know its Iowa but this place is a joke.
Went skiing on the 27 th place was busy. Lots of beginner snow boarders sending more time on their front and back side than on the board lots of beginner akiiers going down the hill out of control too as in they were taking bindings off their skis when they wiped out
Seven Oaks is open and had been for a week. Just put in a new lift and raised the hill and added a new rrun

Saturday was my first time here. I haven't skiied much but I had help from the instuctors. They were very helpful. I enjoyed the place and had a good time. They seem to do the best with what they have. You can't compare them to bigger places remember you're in Iowa. I plan on going again this week to practice, and get more helpful suggestions.
This place is a joke but just about your only option in central Iowa. They charge outrageous prices but they can because there is no competition around. The \"terrain park\" is awful with poorly constructed features and poor maintenence.
