Not a whole lot of runs.can get quite crowded on weekends.lifts aren't too long.good snowmaking equipment.terrain park is awesome.they change the park around often to keep it interseting.I give the nut a thumbs up,I'll have a season pass this year

Closed today @4. Dude if you skied it this weekend you may as well have gone water skiing. Apache was fine but the other were a slushy gone wild.
Mar 12th - disgruntled
chestnut has plenty of snow, but they have shortened their hours to close @ 5pm during the week. Season pass money means nothing to them anymore. unfortunatly most of us need to work or go to school during these hours. Money already made means squat

There is still a decent amount of snow left,they are planning on closing on the 15th. There is still a pretty decent park run on blackhawk

Hey it's Skiing in the Midwest. We're not in Colorado so always take that into account. When comparing Sundown & Chestnut I prefer Chestnut just due to more variety & the runs are more challenging. Again it's not Colorado but we ski chestnut or sundown about 3 times a month. As for icy slopes at chestnut last week, that was bec of the rain on Thurs. I skied it Fri, then sundown sat & back to chestnut Sun. Sunday here was much better. More powder @ Sundown though. Going back to chestnut this weekend. Gotta get out before the snow is gone.

When I came here with my school, we had a good time. But later in the day the ski lift workers were getting quite impolite. And we sensed how they were getting tired of us, so we said what's up to one of the ski lift guys, and he made a rude comment, so we reported him and he got fired that day!
