hausberg is total crap! one giant sheet of ice......alpspitz on down to the kreuzwank is okay until around 13;30 when all the man made crap that passes for snow right now gets scraped of the mountain...God forbid they groom during the day!
Until they get fresh snow, go early. Stay on the top area of the mountain the lower part is not very good.
zugs and hausburg are in excellent condition.
Just got back from the Zugspitz! Tons of snow! Great skiing and or boarding! Classic valley not open yet...so get out there and have tons of fun!
Ok sun the 18th was like riding a slushie in the middle valley..however the last three days it dumped a couple feet of powder in the valley and on the zug..awesome skiing! Visibility was bad tho couldn't see more than 10 feet of the run at a time but all in all excellent powder....would have been nice if it were groomed tho.....still snowing so grab your ski's and or boards now!
Ok can we update this report please? It's been snowing in Garmisch for like two weeks straight...in fact yesterday they closed the roads. I live here in Germany and would love and acurate snow report as i would like to know if i should bother bringing my ski's in march?
New snow in the valley over the past 72 hours - 8 inches; On the mountain - 14 inches; on the Zugspitze - 24 inches
Please keep us updated on Garmish-p skiing, heading there on Jan. 21st and don't know wether to bring skiis/golf clubs.
