Loveland was my stomping grounds in the 1970s (mainly because I lived in Georgetown). It is a great place for the beginner and intermediate skier - short lift lines, good terrain, pleasant people, and low prices. Biggest downside is the damn wind, which nortoriously blows fiercely over the divide and right into your face on the way up. So wear appropriate gear for your face.

Went skiing there today (11-8-08) and it was great for early season skiing. Plus it was snowing the whole time I was there. If you want to get in some early skiing hit up Loveland....tomorrow!

Boarded March 16th. I've been all through CO and I must say I really like Loveland for the price and location (close to Denver). There were no lines what so ever and the terrain park is just challenging enough. I will definitely board at Loveland again in the future.
