55 inches? Breck is the same as everywhere else, yet Copper and Keystone are reporting high 30s or low 40s for the base. Seems a bit fishy. Doesn't mean it's not fun out there, but why lie?
All I can add is if you're complaining about the snow at Breck yesterday. You either don't know where to go or you're not good enough to ride it. And, yes for those of us who have the five mountain pass all of the mountains need more snow. I laid fresh tracks yesterday and felt the glide as my board rode cleanly over light fluffy powder and no peak 7/8 lower blue runs weren't all that to be sure. Which is why life at the top is so, so, so much better.
peak 7 was nice yesterday. 5 inches of fresh. way better than i expected from reading negative reviews
the fun thing about breck is the wind: a "vet" would where the winds loads the snow in, even on light wind days, turning five settled inches into waist deep. and the base report is based in the trees at the bottom of twin chutes: there is 57" of snow in there. again relating to wind, it is impossible to accurately resemble the entire mt. stop bitching and enjoy the best snow sliding we've had this lean year.
