Today there is a huge storm outside. The road to Valle and lifts are closed so far, but the good news is that tomorrow will be a classic day with the sun shining.

I was there for the massive dump of snow. We had bluebird skies and untracked everywhere. Conditions are exceptional.

Great Season so far! Last couple of weeks were pretty warm and no precipitation, but today it rained all day in Santiago, which means tomorrow is POWDER DAY!!! I'm headin up early to catch some turns which won't be skied out until Wednesday since the crowds here don't ski off piste much!

Reports indicate 1.5 meters of snow fell during the last two storms. Valle Nevado also has snow making capabilities. Another storm is coming in on Monday, so my guess is that the season will get off to a fine start.
