The "best" place to stay, in my opinion, is Squaw Creek Resort. They have great service, a fantastic heated pool and outdoor hot tubs, a great deck with live music for Apres', and it's own lift and shuttle service to The Village. Oh, and a spa. The Villages are also great if you want to be in the middle of Squaw Base Camp. Perfect for night life and steps from all lifts and Funitel / Gondola. Amenities, like pool / hot tubs are limited.

To all of the Squaw haters: You have to admit that they have the best facilities, lodges, and restaurants some of the best powder hills (my favorite is Granite Chief), a great automated ticket system, and the Funitel and Cable Cars are just awesome. Squaw is expensive, but it can handle a HUGE crowd with its several express lifts and SO many acres. I like Squaw, but unfortunately I'm in a racing team/club and we get passes to Alpine and Boreal.
