Mt Baldy First Hand Ski Reports

Does anybody know who can do a guided hike to ski that peak across from Thunder Mtn.?
went there last Saturday, a nice day overall, it is definitely not a beginners mountain but i love this place!! been skiing and boarding there for 10 years. i second the comment about selling the place from the blackcomb investor. the place has a lot of potential with a change of ownership and capital injection to replace the unprofessional personnel and antiquated lifts. still for all its faults it has the best terrain in so cal.
Great day yesterday at Baldy. Could do without the gangster music in the lodge.
Epic day at Baldy on tuesday. Some fresh pow to be had in the trees and always some good pitch.
Generally pretty good, but reliably slushy by the afternoon. Went last Thursday, it was mostly icy at the top about an inch of powder. By the afternoon it was mostly slush, but I still think it was a good day! Sorry to hear about jerks messing up people's cars...it is in San Bernadino, after all...
How is it now? Last time I went it was like boarding on an ice cube.
they have 6 inches of powder i cant wait cuz im going next weekend
Baldy blows chunks! Don't go.... No respect for safety, pathetic management and ownership, and the condescending attitudes of employees/family is a joke. When you gonna put it up for sale Pete?? Cause I'm game... Time to cash out old man!
Went up to Baldy for the first time yesterday.  The snow was mostly granulated and packed powder.  Got back to my car and someone scratched up my Obama sticker, which left scratches on my car!  I'm never going back to baldy.....

i thought this place closed
Yes, you should all go ski somewhere else so I can have Baldy all to myself!! Seriously Baldy is primitive and for intermediate to advanced skiers. Beginners or those wanting the modern conveniences should, indeed, drive to Big Bear. I've skied about four days a year at Baldy for around 30 years now.
Not many people there today. Snow was nice in the morning but by 11:30 most of it had turned to slush. No linestgougj
it says the primary surface is pp and the secondary surface is pow. How is that possible? someone must have done something wrong
Antiquated lifts - but a surprisingly good place to board and ski. Lincolns bday - a little icy in the morning and a little slushy in the afternoon - but a fabulous day - all in all. If you are an intermediate and use caution, most of the runs are in your reach - and the weather is fine.
Baldy rocks......onces u ski Balfy u won't want to drive up the mountain to big bear .....
bear mountain is another 2 a half hours from where mt baldy is because when you go to bear it takes another hour to get to the bottom of the mountain and then another hour and a half up the mountain and then its always crowded. so if u leave LA to go to bear its about 4 hours
Baldy is the best in SoCal! Any bad reviews on this page were obviously written by people who cannot ski Baldy. It's an advanced mountain mostly all black and double black. So if you are looking for flat green runs with no steeps than you should go to Bear or Slow Summit. Baldy is for the hardcore skiers!
Baldy sucks! You should all go to bear!
Do i have to go on the ski lift to see snow? say i wanna go on the 10th
