to icy and my board was not catching an edge period
i was spending my whole day making traverses back and forth to make sure if i were to hit an ice patch (which were everywhere) I wouldn't have to much speed and just slide out..

Today, is gonna be a great day. There was snowfall last night and the snow looks perfect for the daily skier. Temperatures are in the lower forties and the higher twenties. It is also perfect for downhill sledding for kids. Be sure to wear two pairs of gloves 'cause the snow is freezing cold. Be sure to make your kids watch their step in the footwholes.

went snowboarding up there for the first time last weekend. Coverage was pretty good. A bit icy in the morning, softened up as the sun came out and by the afternoon it got a little slushy. Overall good conditions for SoCal snow, not crowded either. BEWARE: even though the run down to the parking lot was open, it was pretty treacherous. Lots of exposed rocks and logs.
