Less than the usual amount of snowfall to date, the runs that are open are in pretty good shape. Some ice fog on the upper slopes, lower slopes can be a bit choppy. Ungroomed powder is pretty deep and fun. A lot of runs are still closed, so it can be a little crowded at times. 500 Californian students in town this week, so lots of rude boarders going too fast about.

Anyone who has first hand recent experience at Fernie? Do they have the wild inconsiderate boarders so common in Canada or do they hav3e a real ski patrol to keep it sane? Let us know.
