Thank you, Alyeska ski patrol. Friday they opened the 700' hike up the headwall for the first time in some years. It was steep with good snow. Saturday the rest of the mt. was cleared. Made a run down New Year's Chute, open just 2 da last year, and a hair-raising descent of the windblown hardpack on Monies, 800' of continuous 50 degrees. last open 3 yrs ago.
